Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care; Vice Chair for Education, Dept. of Anesthesiology and Co-Medical Director, Surgical Intensive Care Unit
Dr. Chiang is the Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC). A graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Medical School, she completed an intern year in internal medicine at Earl K. Long LSU Medical Center in Louisiana, and her anesthesiology residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock and joined the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center staff in 2015.
Dr. Chiang previously served as the DHMC’s Director of Obstetric Anesthesia and is currently the Co-Medical Director of the Surgical Care Unit. Her clinical interests include critical care, management of complex patients in the OR, and quality improvement within perioperative critical care. She thrives on teaching applied physiology as it pertains to anesthesia and critical care.
